Growth, Nutrition and Development Counselling with a Registered Dietitian | Ontario & Nova Scotia
Every child grows differently. Knowing yours is on track makes all the difference.
As a parent, it can be hard to know whether your child is eating enough, eating the right things, or growing the way they should be. Changes in appetite, concerns about weight, uncertainty about what nutrients actually matter at each age, and the weight of your own history can all make this feel more complicated than it should. We help you get clear answers, practical guidance, and the reassurance that comes from knowing your child’s nutritional needs are genuinely being met.

Common Reasons Women Seek Growth, Nutrition and Development Nutrition Support
You might be here because…

You're Not Sure if Your Child is Eating Enough
Their appetite has changed, they’re eating more or less than before, and you don’t know if that’s normal or something to pay attention to.

You Have Concerns About Your Child's Weight
You went through something similar as a child and you don’t want your child to have the same experience. You want support that approaches this with sensitivity and without shame.

Your Pediatrician Referred You
You’ve been told to see a dietitian and you want someone who will actually dig into it with you.

You're Not Sure if It's Picky Eating or Something More
Your child has strong food preferences and you want to understand whether it’s typical selective eating or whether there’s a nutritional gap worth addressing.
How Bloom Nutrition Supports Children and Families at Every Stage of Growth
Your child’s nutrition needs change as they grow. So does our guidance.
Our Approach
We look at the full picture, not just the growth chart.
Every child grows and develops at their own pace, and nutrition needs shift significantly from one stage to the next. We get to know your child and your family: their health history, eating habits, developmental stage, bloodwork, and your lifestyle. From there we build a personalized plan that confirms whether nutritional needs are being met, identifies any gaps worth addressing, and gives you practical tools to support your child’s growth with confidence and without stress.
What to Expect
We start by getting to know your child, your family, and your goals.
Every session is built around your child’s age, stage, and what your family needs most. Depending on your situation, that might look like:
- Confirming whether your child’s nutritional needs are being met and identifying any gaps
- Key nutrients to focus on for your child’s specific age and developmental stage
- Age-appropriate guidance on portion sizes and appetite changes
- Weight-neutral support for weight and growth concerns handled with care and without pressure
- Snack and meal ideas that work for your child and the whole family
- Review of relevant bloodwork to get a complete picture of your child’s nutritional status
- A written summary of your goals and our recommendations, plus recipes and tip sheets to take home
