Menopause Nutrition Counselling with a Registered Dietitian | Ontario & Nova Scotia
Menopause is a milestone, not a decline. Let's nourish it accordingly.
After 12 consecutive months without a period, your body has entered a new hormonal chapter — one that comes with its own set of challenges and opportunities. Hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, mood shifts, sleep disruption, and changes to your body composition are common, and they deserve real attention. We help you use nutrition and lifestyle strategies to ease your symptoms, protect your bones and muscle mass, and support your long-term health, whether you’re on HRT or navigating this transition through food and lifestyle alone.

Common Reasons Women Seek Menopause Nutrition Nutrition Support
You might be here because…

Hot Flashes and Night Sweats Are Disrupting Your Life
The heat, the sweating, the broken sleep. You want practical strategies that can actually make a difference.

Brain Fog and Mood Shifts Are Getting in the Way
You don’t feel as sharp, as steady, or as like yourself as you used to. You want to understand the connection between nutrition and how your mind and mood feel day to day.

Your Body Composition is Shifting
Muscle loss, weight redistribution, and a body that doesn’t respond the way it used to. You want a weight-neutral approach focused on strength and long-term health.

You're Thinking About Your Bones
You know estrogen plays a role in bone density and you want to be proactive about protecting yourself now that levels have shifted permanently.

You Want to Address Insulin Resistance
You’ve noticed changes in how your body handles food and you want guidance on how to support your metabolism through this transition.

You Want to Use Nutrition Alongside or Instead of HRT
Whether HRT is part of your care plan or not an option for you, you want to know what nutrition and lifestyle can realistically do to support you.
How Bloom Nutrition Supports People Through Menopause
Your body has changed. Your nutrition strategy should too.
Our Approach
Menopause affects more than your cycle. Your care should reflect that.
The hormonal shifts of menopause have lasting effects on your cardiovascular health, bone density, muscle mass, metabolism, insulin sensitivity, mood, and sleep. We look at your full picture: your health history, bloodwork, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. From there we build a personalized nutrition plan that addresses what you’re experiencing now while protecting your health for the decades ahead, working alongside any medical treatment you’re already receiving.

Do my insurance benefits cover dietetic services?
Many extended health benefit plans offer coverage for registered dietitian services. However, coverage can vary depending on your specific plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm the details of your coverage. After your session, you will receive an official receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement. Please ask about direct billing, as we do offer it for many insurance providers.
Can I self-refer? Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Yes! You do not need a referral from another healthcare provider to book an appointment. Many clients choose to self-refer.
