PCOS Nutrition Counselling with a Registered Dietitian | Ontario & Nova Scotia
PCOS is complicated. Your nutrition support doesn't have to be.
Polycystic ovary syndrome affects up to 1 in 10 people with ovaries, and no two experiences look the same. From irregular cycles and insulin resistance to fatigue, mood shifts, and changes in your body, the effects are real and wide-reaching. We help you cut through the noise and build a nutrition approach that actually works for your body and your life.

Common Reasons Women Seek PCOS Nutrition Support
You might be here because…

Your Cycle is Unpredictable
Your periods are irregular or absent, and you’re tired of not knowing what your body is doing or why

You're Exhausted and Your Mood is Suffering
No matter how much you sleep, the fatigue follows you. Your mood feels unstable and you just want to feel like yourself again.

Your Body is Changing and You're Not Sure What to Do
Weight fluctuations, acne, unwanted hair growth, and shifts in energy have you feeling disconnected from your body and looking for real answers.

You're Drowning in Supplement Advice
You’ve seen the lists. You’re spending a lot of money and you’re still not sure what actually helps and what doesn’t.

Food Feels Like a Battle
The food noise is constant. You want to rebuild a positive relationship with eating without restriction, rules, or guilt.

You're Thinking About Fertility
Whether you’re planning now or thinking ahead, you want to understand how nutrition can support your hormones and your reproductive health.
How Bloom Nutrition Supports People with PCOS
We work alongside your body, not against it.
Our Approach
PCOS looks different for everyone. So does our support.
Insulin resistance, androgen levels, cycle health, energy, weight, and your relationship with food all connect. We look at your full picture: your health history, bloodwork, lifestyle, and nutrition goals. If insulin resistance is part of your picture, we take the time to explain what that actually means for you and how nutrition can help. From there we work together to build a personalized plan that addresses your symptoms and supports your long-term health.
What to Expect
We start by understanding your health history, labs, symptoms, and goals.
Every session is built around what matters most to you. Depending on your needs, that might look like:
- Identifying the right balance of macros and micronutrients for your body
- Evidence-based supplement guidance so you’re not guessing or overspending
- A weight-neutral, sustainable approach to weight management
- Strategies to improve energy, mood, and cycle regularity
- Rebuilding a positive relationship with food and quieting food noise
- A written summary of your goals and our recommendations, plus recipes and tip sheets to take home

Everything you want to know before your first appointment.
Do my insurance benefits cover dietetic services?
Many extended health benefit plans offer coverage for registered dietitian services. However, coverage can vary depending on your specific plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm the details of your coverage. After your session, you will receive an official receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement. Please ask about direct billing, as we do offer it for many insurance providers.
Can I self-refer? Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Yes! You do not need a referral from another healthcare provider to book an appointment. Many clients choose to self-refer.
