Perimenopause Nutrition Counselling with a Registered Dietitian | Ontario & Nova Scotia
Your body is changing. You deserve support that actually understands why.
Perimenopause can begin years before your last period, and the symptoms are real: irregular cycles, hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, mood shifts, sleep disruption, and changes to your body composition that don’t respond to what used to work. We help you understand what’s driving these changes and use nutrition and lifestyle strategies to ease your symptoms, protect your long-term health, and help you feel more like yourself again, whether you’re on HRT or not.

Common Reasons Women Seek Perimenopause Nutrition Nutrition Support
You might be here because…

Your Cycle Has Become Unpredictable
Heavier periods, irregular timing, or symptoms that seem to come out of nowhere. You want to understand what’s happening and what you can actually do about it.

You're Exhausted and Your Sleep is Suffering
Night sweats, disrupted sleep, and fatigue that follows you through the day. You want practical strategies to restore your energy.

Brain Fog and Mood Shifts Are Affecting Your Daily Life
You don’t feel as sharp or as steady as you used to, and you want to know how nutrition can help.

Your Body Composition is Changing
Weight redistribution, muscle loss, and changes that don’t respond the way they used to. You want a weight-neutral approach that focuses on strength and long-term health rather than a number on a scale.

You're Worried About Bone Health
You know that estrogen decline affects bone density and you want to be proactive about protecting yourself now and in the future.

You Want to Explore Nutrition Alongside or Instead of HRT
Whether HRT is part of your plan or not an option for you, you want to know what nutrition and lifestyle can do to support you through this transition.
How Bloom Nutrition Supports People Through Perimenopause
This transition is significant. Your support should be too.
Our Approach
Perimenopause is not just something to push through.
The hormonal shifts of perimenopause affect your metabolism, bone density, muscle mass, mood, sleep, and insulin sensitivity all at once. We look at your full picture: your health history, bloodwork, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. From there we build a personalized plan that addresses what you’re experiencing now and supports your health for the long term, working alongside any medical treatment you’re receiving.
What to Expect
We start by understanding your health history, labs, symptoms, and goals.

Do my insurance benefits cover dietetic services?
Many extended health benefit plans offer coverage for registered dietitian services. However, coverage can vary depending on your specific plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm the details of your coverage. After your session, you will receive an official receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement. Please ask about direct billing, as we do offer it for many insurance providers.
Can I self-refer? Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Yes! You do not need a referral from another healthcare provider to book an appointment. Many clients choose to self-refer.
