Postpartum Recovery Nutrition Counselling with a Registered Dietitian | Ontario & Nova Scotia
You just did something incredible. Now let's take care of you.
The postpartum period is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding seasons of life, and it lasts far longer than the first few weeks. Your body is healing, your nutritional needs are high, your sleep is fractured, and you’re feeding a baby often with one hand while trying to keep yourself going. We help you rebuild your energy and iron stores, navigate breastfeeding nutrition, and find a way of eating that works for your real life right now, without guilt, pressure, or unrealistic expectations.

Common Reasons Women Seek Postpartum Recovery Nutrition Support
You might be here because…

You're Running on Empty
Sleepless nights, blood loss from birth, and the physical demands of caring for a newborn have left you completely depleted. You need more than just rest.

You Don't Have Time to Think About Food
Eating with one hand, grabbing whatever is fast, feeling guilty about not doing better. You want simple, realistic ideas that actually fit into your life right now.

Breastfeeding Nutrition Feels Confusing
You want to make sure you’re eating enough to support your supply and meet your own needs at the same time, but you’re not sure what that actually looks like.

Your Body Feels Different and You're Not Sure How to Feel About It
Weight redistribution, muscle loss, and a body that doesn’t feel familiar yet. You want support that meets you with compassion, not a pressure to bounce back.

You Want to Rebuild, Not Restrict
Some people lose significant muscle and fat while chest or breastfeeding and want to rebuild strength. Others want gentle, sustainable support for weight management. Either way, we’re here for it.

You Have a History of Disordered Eating
You’re aware of the patterns you don’t want to pass on and you want support to navigate this season with a healthy relationship with food, for yourself and the little one watching you.

Your Mood is Affecting Your Eating
Mood changes postpartum are common and real, and they affect how and what you eat. You want practical strategies to support both.
How Bloom Nutrition Supports People in the Postpartum Period

Our Approach
Postpartum nutrition is about rebuilding, not bouncing back.
Your body has been through an enormous physical event and it needs real nourishment to recover. We look at your health history, bloodwork, feeding choices, lifestyle, and goals to build a plan that supports your healing, your energy, and your relationship with food. Whether you’re six weeks postpartum or six months in, it’s never too late to start feeling supported.
